Prague, 11 August 2021. The Municipal Court in Prague today confirmed on appeal that the contract on a future contract (concerning land near Dejvické nádraží station in Prague 6) concluded between Amádeus Real and the Railway Administration (SŽ) is valid. The Court of Appeal held that the action brought by SŽ was unfounded and was correctly dismissed by the Court of First Instance. Today’s decision of the court will be final when served on the parties.
Karel Samec, media representative of Amadeus Real: “Today’s decision by the Court of Appeal has only confirmed our long-held position that the future contract was concluded in accordance with all applicable laws. We are pleased that this matter has been clarified and the validity of the contract has been upheld by the courts. The contract is also not disadvantageous for SŽ. Amádeus Real is still prepared to pay for the land the price that will be determined by an expert institute selected by SŽ itself at the time of the sale on a market basis and to provide SŽ with other agreed cooperation. The uproar created over this matter a few years ago was without substance.”
